Passover Sedarim in Rome
3-4 April. Rome's Centro Ebraico Italiano Il Pitigliani in Trastevere organises two Sedarim, a Jewish ritual feast for the first and second night of Pesach or Passover, on 3 and 4 April.
The Seder begins at 20.30 and ends about midnight. It is a traditional Seder, sung in Hebrew according to Roman tradition (melodies are quite different from the ashkenazi ones). Generally the centre has many English-speaking foreigners, and they try to organise English-speaking tables. The dress code may be elegant or informal, as guests please.
Il Pitigliani is located in Trastevere, across the river Tiber from Rome's main Synagogue (Tempio Maggiore), on Via Arco de’ Tolomei 1, behind Piazza in Piscinula.
