Pechino 2008: Il tempo, gli animali, la storia. Un’opera di Huang Rui.
9 Feb-8 June 2008. A large site-specific installation by Huang Rui, one of the most significant contemporary artists in China today. The work is made up of over 2008 old bricks from the historic Beijing suburbs (hutong) currently under demolition to make way for the Olympic Games. The oldest bricks date back to the Qing dynasty; the most recent are at least 100 years old.
