This international jazz festival is probably one of the best known of its kind in Europe and this edition offers seven days of concerts on nine different stages including an open-air arena, city theatres, squares and restaurants. Many of the events are free of charge, and as always the programme is varied and features a lot of big acts, not only in the field of jazz. Names that stand out this year are returning stars Sonny Rollins, Sting, Chick Core, Stefano Bollani and Pat Metheny. Famous newcomers on the Perugia stage are Erykah Badu, Herbie Hancock, John Scofield and Esperanza Spalding. 14 July promises to be a special evening thanks to the participation of Bob Marley
