11-15 May. British theatre director Peter Brook has teamed up with long-time collaborator, the French playwright Marie-Hélène Estienne, and French screenwriter Jean-Claude Carrière, to create Battlefield, a new work based on the ancient texts of India's Sanskrit epic, the Mahabharata.
Using four actors and a musician, the 65-minute piece examines how the Bharata family is torn apart by the devastation of war.
Starring Carole Karemera, Jared McNeill, Ery Nzaramba, and Sean O’Callaghan, with music by Toshi Tsuchitori.
