Pompeii. Il fascino discreto delle argenterie.
1 April-30 Oct 2006. How did the people of Pompeii lay their tables? What did the silver platters on which they served the exotic foods of their banquets look like? The exhibition answers those and many other questions with a wondeful collection of ancient Roman silverware from Pompeii which has been beautifully preserved by the lava of the Vesuvius eruption that buried Pompeii and Ercolano in 79 AD.
