7-9 Dec 2006. For RomaEuropa Festival. On 26 December 1996 the Mediterranean saw the most tragic shipwreck in 50 years close to Portopalo in southern Sicily. Some 286 people from Pakistan, India and Sri Lanka died, never to resurface from a depth of 104 m of water. This show tries to give those people a name and a face. Portopalo is a requiem for all victims, a tribute paid by actors, journalists and composers such as Oscar Pizzo, Guido Barbieri, Riccardo Nova.
