Pianist Radu Lapu returns to S. Cecilia.

12-15 Dec. Pianist Radu Lupu plays music by Mozart, with the S. Cecilia orchestra conducted by Fabio Luisi. The Guardian newspaper defines Lapu as one of the truly the great pianist of the moment. He has reduced his performances in recent years and the last time he performed in Rome was in 2013 at S. Cecilia with Antonio Pappano conducting. The programme also includes Luisi conducting Burckner's fourth symphony, known as the Romantic symphony which is one of the composer's most popular.
