Ravenna Festival 2006.
17 June-23 July 2006. While the mainstay of this festival is music, it is a multidisciplinary event with opera, concerts, dance, jazz, ethnic music, drama, experimentation, film, conventions and exhibitions. Events are staged in the towns extraordinary and extremely rich monumental heritage not just the theatres, but also the splendid Byzantine basilicas, cloisters, squares and industrial sites provide the settings which give particular charm to the events. Although the programme is varied, the main theme this year is Mozart.
