11 Nov-3 Dec. The results of an audiovisual project uniting footage made by Rome residents, showing the “real Rome” is on display at MACRO Testaccio.

The Reaction Roma installation is built around the so-called social movie project that involves amateur videos made using smartphones, tablets and microcameras, viewed through the eyes of those who see the daily reality of Rome.

Described as a “photograph in motion”, the video project saw residents-turned-filmmakers recording what excites and affects them most about life in the Italian capital.

Reaction Roma was overseen by director Pietro Jona whose team spliced together a social movie from 100 of the more than 400 entries received.
