Red Gala for the Children of Sri Lanka
18 Nov. The Rotary Rotary Club Rome International (RCRI) is holding a fundraising event titled Red Gala for the Children of Sri Lanka on 18 November at 20.00.
Designed to raise funds to feed 2,000 children in Sri Lanka each year, the event is being held in partnership with the World Food Programme-Italia, with the support of the Sri Lanka embassy.
WFP Amassador Alessia Marcuzzi will be a special guest during the evening which includes a jewellery show, art exhibition, live piano music, dance performance sponsored by the Sri Lankan embassy, door prizes, raffles, games, silent auction and cocktail dinner.
Funded by the RCRI and implemented by WFP Italia, the Sri Lanka School Meals programme is designed to provide food, education and vocational training to children until they become independent young adults, as well as to encourage the education of girls.
