Great bandoneón and accordion player Richard Galliano teams up with violinist Guido Rimonda and the Orchestra Camerata Ducale for a programme dedicated to Bach, to Galliano’s beloved Piazzolla, and a selection of compositions by Galliano himself.
Acclaimed as one of the most important accordionists of the modern era, Galliano is also renowned for having integrated the accordion into jazz, alongside saxophones and trumpets.
Considered the heir to Astor Piazzolla, Galliano obviously loves all musical genres and in this concert he offers an overview of his creative genius, starting with music by Bach (whose works he recorded for a 2010 album), to Piazzolla to some of his own critically acclaimed compositions. A highly recommended event.
