Robert De Niro in Rome
Hollywood actor will meet the public at Rome's MAXXI
Academy Award-winning actor Robert De Niro will meet the audience following the Italian preview of a documentary about his father, being screened at the Museo Nazionale delle Arti del XXI secolo (MAXXI) on Monday 17 November at 17.00.
The film is titled Remembering the Artist Robert De Niro, Sr. and was directed by Perri Peltz and Geeta Gandbhir. It is dedicated to the life and work of De Niro's father, the Italian-American painter, poet and sculptor.
The actor, best known for his roles in Taxi Driver, Raging Bull and The Godfather Part II, will meet the audience during a conversation moderated by Italian film critic and Rome Film Festival senior programmer Mario Sesti.
The documentary is presented by MAXXI in collaboration with the Fondazione Cinema per Roma and will also be screened at 19.00. The second screening will be introduced by De Niro.
Admission to the screenings is granted with a free coupon valid for one person, which will be available on Saturday 15 November and Sunday 16 November (from midday to 19.00) at the MAXXI, until all available seats are filled. Each person may collect a maximum of two coupons, choosing one of the screenings.
