Roberto Wirth charity concert.
On Friday 14 December Roberto Wirth, head of the Hassler Hotel in Rome and founder of the Roberto Wirth Fund, a non-profit organisation for the deaf and deafblind children, organized a Christmas concert in the church of S. Lorenzo in Lucina in the centre of Rome.
The event was to raise money for a project organised by the fund "Deaf Space: Comunicazioni e Arti Visive", a space dedicated to communication and the visual arts for the deaf, but open to all.
The new space will be used for courses, meetings, workshops and symposia.
At the concert the well-known tenor Fausto Tenzi, accompanied by the pianist Ilario Nicotra, sang some of the best-loved Christmas and religious pieces by Mozart, Handel, Bizet and Gounod and others. The programme also included music by the choir of the "Voci Bianche di Roma" of the S. Cecilia National Academy and the choir of Rome
