Roma Fringe Festival
30 Aug-17 Sept. The sixth edition of this annual festival is dedicated to independent theatre of all genres, with the action taking place at Villa Mercede in the S. Lorenzo district, in collaboration with the World Fringe Network in Edinburgh.
The festival features around 150 appointments by Italian and international acts, with genres including performance, drama, comedy, street art, stand-up, sung theatre, theatrical dance, improvisation, puppet theatre, and workshops.
The festival's artistic director Davide Ambrogi said that spectators could look forward to "90 per cent new material" with a "civil, ironic or poetic take" and that there would also be "true stories, from earthquakes to Palestine."
