Romaeuropa celebrates the New Year in Rome
Rome rings in the new year with live music, dance, performance, acrobatics and video-mapping by Romaeuropa.

The Romaeuropa Foundation takes part in the third edition of La Festa di Roma, the capital's New Year's Eve and New Year's Day festivities in the area surrounding the Circus Maximus.The programme includes performance and travelling concerts, video-mapping and immersive works, described as "a day animated by listening, perceptive and sensorial experience, by movement, by sharing."
International dance maestro Virgilio Sieni presents Cammino Popolare, a performance march involving the audience, which meets the Fanfaroma and Titubanda bands as well as the Fantomatic Orchestra della Scuola di Musica Popolare di Testaccio and the children's choir of the Rome opera house.
Dance is represented by Danza Verticale - Il Posto led by the choreographer Wanda Moretti, who creates Il Gigante, a performace of music, dance and acrobatics on the façade of the Anagrafe on Via Petroselli.

Acclaimed Berlin artist Philipp Geist will animate Tiber Island, transforming it into an "open-eyed dream" with video-mapping works using colour, light, images and text.
