Rome’s S. Susanna book sale
The S. Susanna English language lending library in Rome is holding one of its popular book sales on Wednesday 9 October from 15.00-18.00.
The library's coordinator Tonia White told Wanted in Rome that the majority of the books in the sale are in the fiction category and there are also lots of English language dvds.
The sale continues until 30 October during the following hours: Tues 10.00-13.00, Wed 15.00-18.00, Thurs 10.00-13.00, Fri 13.00-16.00 and Sun 10.00-12.30.
The library has provided a lending service to Rome’s English-speaking readers for over 40 years, and is operated with the assistance of volunteers. Housing over 20,000 titles, its categories include literature, art, religion, archaeology, history, travel, cookery and novels, as well as a children's section containing many out-of-print classics.
Attached to the parish of the American Catholic Church in Rome, the library is located on the second floor of the building to the right of the Church of S. Susanna, at Via XX Settembre 15. For details on membership or to volunteer at the library, contact Tonia White at susannalibrary@gmail.com.
