Rome's Asian Film Festival
The 14th edition of Rome’s Asian Film Festival takes place at La Pelanda in Testaccio from 12-20 October.
Over the course of nine days the festival will screen 77 films from 20 Asian countries and regions as part of its aim "to introduce Asian culture and society to the Italian public", according to its director and founder, Italo Spinelli.
Entry to the festival is free and tickets can be collected up to one hour before each screening. Films are shown in their original language, with subtitles in English or Italian.
Launched in 2000, about 20,000 attendees are expected at this year's edition of the festival, which is supported by Italy's culture ministry, and city and regional authorites.
For full details including programme see the festival's website or Facebook page.
