Rome's Galleria Nazionale celebrates Mimmo Rotella
Mimmo Rotella Manifesto exhibition at Galleria Nazionale in Rome.
30 Oct-10 Feb. The Galleria Nazionale marks the 100th anniversary of the birth of Italian artist Mimmo Rotella (1918-2006) with an exhibition curated by Germano Celant with Antonella Soldaini.
The 160 works on display in the gallery's Salone Centrale are exhibited in six poster-ensembles, each of which examines the various techniques used by the artist as he experimented during his long career.
Considered an important figure in post-war European art, Rotella is best known for his works of décollage made from torn advertising posters. For full exhibition details see Galleria Nazionale website.
