Daniele Gatti conducts the orchestra and chorus of the Accademia Nazionale di S. Cecilia performing Schumann's 2nd and 4th symphonies as well as his Nachtlied, over three evenings from 1-3 February.
Musical director of the Royal Concertgebouw Orchestra of Amsterdam since 2016, Daniele Gatti is one of the most influential directors on the international music scene.
His much-anticipated return to Rome, at the helm of the Orchestra of the Accademia Nazionale di S. Cecilia - of which he was musical director from 1992 to 1997 - is with a concert linked to the Schumann 'project', launched several years ago, for which Gatti has already conducted the orchestra of S. Cecilia in two symphonies and the oratorio Paradise and the Peri.
