The second edition of the capital's hugely-popular Spirit of Scotland — Rome Whisky Festival takes place on Saturday 9 and Sunday 10 March, at the Aranciera di S. Sisto in central Rome.
The two-day event showcases over 1,000 Scottish whisky labels, from well-known to rare, and features whiskey tastings, masterclasses and gourmet food including chocolate and Scottish beers, while music is provided by the City of Rome Pipe Band and the folk group Be Folk.
Rome-based British chef Iason Hannick will offer mini whisky and food pairing workshops with a selection of choicest cheeses such as Gran Kinara and Loch Duart hot smoked salmon.
The event is backed by the British embassy to Italy, UK Trade and Investment, the Visit Scotland tourism agency, and the city of Rome.
