This exhibition is dedicated to works belonging to two well-known Italian art collectors: the art critic Federico Zeri, and Paola Santarelli who belongs to an important entrepreneurial family. The works are on show for the first time to the public and reflect the interests and the tastes of Zeri and Santarelli, both of whom show great sensitivity to sculpture, notwithstanding their differing positions.

The Santarelli collection consists mostly of archaeological finds from antiquity to the 18th century, with a special focus on coloured marble and the history of Rome. Zeri
