Shakespearean Sonnets of Love
Organised by the American University of Rome (AUR), the Voice Professionals Italy present Shakespearean Sonnets of Love, a performance whose proceeds will fund a scholarship in memory of former AUR professor James Walston.
The production at 19.00 examines Shakespeare's mysterious love poems, with Michael Fitzpatrick and Rory Stuart as readers, Shelagh Gallivan soprano, John Michael accompanist, and Edwin A. Francis presenter.
In addition to being professor of international relations and global politics at AUR from 1990 to 2014, Walston was a regular political contributor to Wanted in Rome since the magazine was founded almost 30 years ago.
