Sheketak.
The Israeli company makes its dbut in Rome with what it calls “percussive dance”, a form of athletic hip-hop and breakdancing with a dose of army-style training, modern dance technique, martial arts and dry humour. The hour-long performance uses lighting and fog effects to shift between themes as the dancers on stage – all men – stomp, tap, bang on cans, beat on drums, clap their hands, slap their bodies and pant in rhythm.
