Small Beauties
15 May-5 June. The University of Washington Rome Center presents an exhibition entitled Small Beauties, featuring the work of two contemporary Italian painters: Aldo Bandinelli and Ono Emiliani.
Curated by Arendt Speser, the exhibition is a collaborative effort between University of Washington students from the Comparative History of Ideas (CHID) study abroad program in Italy and the two abstract artists whose work is inspired by literature and diverse visual and cultural traditions.
The opening at 18.00 on Friday 15 May will also feature live cello music from Bernardino Penazzi, a member of the Orchestra Nazionale di S. Cecilia. The exhibition remains open until 5 June and can be visited by appointment.
