The German Academy at Villa Massimo presents the 21st edition of Soltanto un quadro al massimo, a cycle of exhibitions in which a work by an Italian artist and one by a German artist are shown side by side.

This year the exhibition features the work of Turin artist Giuseppe Penone and Berlin artist Isa Genzken. Penone exhibits a large-scale work on Japanese paper while Genzken presents Bookshelves, a sculpture created from recycled materials.

Curated by Ludovico Pratesi and the Academy's director Joachim Blüher. The exhibition opens on 2 October at 19.30.
