Someone Who'll Watch Over Me
13 April-18 June 2005. A new production of Frank McGuiness' powerful tale. Abducted in war-torn Beirut, Johnnie Lee Miller (Trainspotting, Mansfield Park), Aden Gillen (Queer as Folk) and David Threlfall (Shameless) try to find ways to cope with their kidnapping.
Based on interviews with real-life hostages Brian Keenan and Terry Waite, recent events in the Middle East have added a more horrific background to the play. Veering from tragedy to comedy, the hard-hitting plot ultimately offers a message of hope - not only for hostages but for humanity in general. Admission: 20-50
