Pierre Soulages is the sole protagonist of this exhibition organised by the French Academy in collaboration with the Lyons Musée des Beaux-Arts. It highlights how this master, considered one of the greatest representatives of French abstraction, is also a truly “contemporary” artist. Although he is over 92, he still continues his in-depth investigation of abstract painting, exploring new possibilities.
