Sports and Spinach at Experimentarium.
6 Oct-30 Dec 2006. An exhibition where your own body takes centre stage is being held at Experimentarium, Copenhagens interactive museum of science, applied technology and nature. Sports and Spinach, which is divided into three sections; the Park, the Body Check and the Family Kitchen, each of which looks at a different aspect of health and fitness, is particularly aimed at children. The colourful activity park offers a series of fun exercises, like spiral hopscotch which gets your pulses racing and trains your balance at the same time. A personal body card for each visitor allows you to record how your body works, your blood pressure, your energy needs and muscle tone all measured on the latest technology in the Body Check section. In the Family Kitchen eating habits are put under the microscope and predictions made as to how your current diet will affect your life expectancy. Lots of healthy and delicious low-fat foods are on display and tasting sessions are held to build awareness of what we eat and hopefully to convert hamburger addicts to healthier alternatives.
Admission price covers entrance to all exhibitions: adults Dkk115 children Dkk70 Mon-Fri 9.30-17.00 Tues until 21.00 Sat-Sun 11.00-17.00.
