30 May-7 June. The annual strawberry festival takes place in the town of Nemi in the Castelli Romani, just south of Rome, from 30 May until 7 June.
The 82nd edition of the popular Sagra delle fragole will be enlivened with numerous parallel events, including walking tours, kids' events and a tribute to Italian musician Rino Gaetano.
However, strawberries remain at the heart of the festival which has attracted record numbers of visitors in recent years.
