The annual strawberry festival takes place in the town of Nemi in the Castelli Romani, just south of Rome, from 26 May until 9 June.
The 80th edition of the popular Sagra delle fragole will be enlivened with numerous parallel events, and the heart of the festival is centred around Sunday 3 June when punnets of strawberries will be distributed for free.
