8-11 Oct. Over four days the Garbatella district will be enlivened with the scents and flavours of street food, from 8-11 October.
The Cucine di strada per le vie di Roma harks back to Italian street cuisine of yore, with a special focus on arrosticini, bombette pugliesi, gnocco fritto, panzerotto, peperone crusco, and pani ca’ meusa.
There will be pizza makers from all over Italy at the event which aims to revive the typical dishes and snacks once commonplace in Italy's markets and ports.
The festival also includes workshops, discussions, theatre, music, kids' shows and exhibitions. For full details see website.
