Sulle Vie della Seta. Antichi Sentieri tra Oriente ed Occidente
The exhibition organized by the American Museum of Natural History in New York shines the light on the creation of a network of routes grouped together under the name of the Silk Road. Retracing the long journey between east and west from the seventh to the 14th centuries AD, it illustrates numerous different cultures along the Silk Road with the reconstruction of four iconic cities that represent milestones in trade and culture.
There is also a section that explores the relationship between certain Italian cities like Venice and Genoa, and the Far East in the final centuries of the Middle Ages.
