Teatro dell'Opera di Roma welcomes the new year with Swan Lake.

31 Dec-8 Jan. Rome ballet fans can look forward to Benjamin Pech’s version of Swan Lake at Teatro dell’Opera di Roma, from 31 December until 8 January 2020.

The production stars Polina Seminova (31 Dec, 2 Feb) and Susanna Salvi (3, 4 Feb) as Odette / Odile and Daniel Camargo (31 Dec, 2, 5, 7 Jan) and Claudio Cocino (3, 4, 8 Jan) as Prince Seigfreid.

Pech’s interpretation of the ballet, which he danced many times at the Paris Opera before he was brought to Rome as the master of ballet by Eleonora Abbagnato, centres on the friendship and betrayal of Siegfried and Benno, eliminating the role of Rothbart.
