In 6000 miles away, choreography by William Forsythe, Jiri Kilian. Mats Ek. Some of the biggest names in dance  come together for this show tailored to fit the wonderful form of superstar ballerina Silvie Guillem. The show is named for Japan, hit by disaster while Guillem was preparing the show – an extra fundraising performance being added to the sold-out premiere run at Sadler's Wells.

It comprises works by three great choreographers of our time: Rearray by William Forsythe, Bye by Swedish choreographer Mats Ek (both these works especially created for the occasion), and finally a revival of Jiri Kylian’s 27’52”. 

Very promising on paper, but critics agree: an ultimately disappointing evening that should have been an ultimate celebration of the beauty of dance but that has yielded drab, dreary and inconsequential results.
