2-14 Jan 2005. Every year Berlin's Sophiensle hosts Tanztage the annual dance festival that provides a platform for the citys young dancers, choreographers and assorted luvvies. It has a strong focus on young talent freshly arrived in the city to take advantage of its legendary creative ambience. In addition to full-length dances, students and young choreographers get a chance to present their works on any of three evenings given over to new talent. This feature of the festival - talking place on 4, 7 and 8 January - has been expanded for 2005 after going down tremendously well with audiences. The Sophiensle can be found on Sophienstresse in the happening Berlin-Mitte district, renowned for its nightlife and arts community, and home to the citys fringe theatre and dance circuit.
