6 July-24 Aug 2006. At the heart of the little town of Taormina, on the top of a hill overlooking the Mediterranean, is a beautiful Greek theatre built in the 3rd century BC. For the past 52 years, every summer it comes to life with an intense programme of theatre, dance, cinema and music. Performances to look out for this year are by the Spanish avant garde theatre company La Fura dels Baus and a production of Mozarts Don Giovanni, The London Chamber Orchestra, and The Drummers of Burundi.
