12-17 May. Teatro India presents Still Life (12-14 May) which looks at the issue of discrimination and psychological bullying in high schools, a phenomenon that leads to the repressed identity and self destruction of the victim. Directed by Stefano Ricci, with cast Anna Gualdo, Giuseppe Sartori, Fabio Gomiero, Liliana Laera, Francesco Scolletta, presented in collaboration with Garofano Verde and supported by Teatro di Roma.
Teatro India continues its series of modern versions of Shakespeare’s classics with La bisbetica domata, better known in English as The Taming of the Shrew (13-17 May) a comedy based around the courtship of Petruchio and Katherina. Translated and adapted by Francesco Niccolini, directed by Tonio De Nitto.
Inspired by the imaginary world of cult American writer Dennis Cooper, Macadamia nut brittle (15-17 May) is a cruel adolescent fairytale featuring three teenage characters and a superhero woman. Directed by Stefano Ricci and starring Anna Gualdo, Giuseppe Sartori, Fabio Gomiero and Pasquale Di Filippo.
