The American University of Rome: David Lammy talks Brexit
British MP comes to Rome for James Walston Memorial Lecture 2019.
7 May. The American University of Rome presents a talk by British Member of Parliament (MP) David Lammy, for the 2019 James Walston Memorial Lecture, at the Centro Studi Americani on Tuesday 7 May at 19.00.
Lammy, who has been the Labour MP for his home constituency of Tottenham since 2000, will discuss Brexit, British politics, nationalism, and Europe during his talk in Rome.
Lammy made international headlines earlier this year for his passionate anti-Brexit speech in the House of Commons.
The annual Rome lecture is dedicated to the memory of James Walston, who, in addition to being professor of international relations and global politics at The American University of Rome from 1990 to 2014, was a regular political contributor to Wanted in Rome since the magazine was founded in 1985.
