23 Oct-1 Nov. As part of John Cabot University’s annual Italy Reads programme, the English Theatre of Rome stages Lydia Diamond's adaptation of The Bluest Eye by Toni Morrison, Pulitzer and Nobel Prize Winner.
Morrison's hard-hitting story is centred on a young black girl who develops an inferiority complex due to her eye colour and skin appearance.
This English-language production is co-directed by Angelica Azzellini, Nikolei Berger and Gaby Ford, starring Ghyslaine Archer, George Broglia, Nadia Caretto, Jared Clark, Morgan Clark, Renee Clark, Victoria Erricks, Bill Guion, Misha Nichols, Avery Smith, Alton Terry and Lydia Willets.
