The Color Run, known as the "Happiest 5k on the Planet", takes place in Rome's coastal district of Lido Ostia at 18.30 on Saturday 19 July.
A cross between a party and a sporting event, the Color Run is a paint race during which the emphasis is more on fun than achieving the best running time.
Participants douse each other with coloured powder during the five-km run, with colours changing at each kilometre.
