The Dream of Warsaw
This exhibition is dedicated to providing an insight into Poland's contemporary art scene, focusing in particular on the capital Warsaw.
The ten exhibiting artists are all from Poland: Mirosław Bałka, Janicka & Wilczyk, Agnieszka Kalinowska, Paulina Ołowska, Aleksandra Polisiewicz, Katarzyna Przezwańska, Konrad Pustoła, Joanna Rajkowska, Aleksandra Wasilkowska and Artur Żmijewski.
Their works explore the visible and hidden realities of Warsaw, a city that is complex, fragmented, diverse and contradictory, but full of a tremendous potential for transformation.
Curated by Gabi Scardi, the exhibition is the starting point of In Polonia, cioè dove?, a collaborative project between the Istituto Polacco di Roma and the Fondazione Pastificio Cerere.
The project is also accompanied by a series of encounters at the Museo Nazionale delle Arti del XXI Secolo MAXXI where the exhibition's themes will be addressed further.
