The Goat or Who is Sylvia?
9-28 May 2005.
Cruelly funny .... darkly and savagely brilliant says the Sunday Times of this openly provocative play, in which Edward Albee challenges the limits of morality and tolerance. Striking a cord with both audiences and critics on its New York debut, the play went on to win several major awards such as the 2002 Tony Award for Best Play. The Goat or, Who is Sylvia? reunites Michael Caven, Joe Vanek and Rupert Murray: the award-winning team that made Skylight, by David Hare, last years box-office hit. Bryan Murray returns to Dublin to play Martin, with Susan FitzGerald as his wife Stevie, with the first-rate cast also featuring Tadhg Murphy and Philip O'Sullivan.
