The Rome Chamber Music Festival at Villa Aurelia. 15-24 June 2004. This is the first edition of the event and is endorsed by the embassies of the United States to Italy and to the Holy See. During concert intervals it is possible to visit Villa Aurelia and its gardens, which belong to the American Academy in Rome. The programme consists of three performances each of two different programmes. The 15-17 June concerts include music by Haydn Barber, Copland and Brahms; the 22-24 June concerts include music by Schubert, Barber and Schumann. With American violinist Robert McDuffie, Italian pianist Andrea Lucchesini, Korean violinist Yoon Kwon and others. Concerts begin at 21.00.
