On the occasion of the 12th edition of the FotoGrafia Festival Internazionale di Roma, Sala 1 presents Timeless Islands, the first Italian show by Paris-based artist Thomas Jorion. The photographs capture places devoid of human activity, many of them abandoned by economic development, and all in remote destinations in Europe, Russia, Japan and the US. For all their desolation, these lost landscapes are enlivened by Jorion's use of colour, light and dizzying perspective.
