Oct 2009-Feb 2010. The aim of this exhibition is to conduct the public on a journey into an area of perpetual transformation. The Sanctuary is an archaeological site in which the work of restorers, archaeologists and technicians continues to bring to light treasures and remains from a multiplicity of stratifications that have formed in the course of centuries. The so-called Sanctuary of the Victorious Hercules, just three hundred meters from the city walls, is considered to be one of the most extraordinary testimonies of ancient history and art thanks to its remarkable extention and monumental remains.
