14-21 Oct. The Associazioni Culturali Lavatoio Contumaciale and FigurAzioni present Transfusioni#Maria Lai, a conversation between curator Anna D'Elia and art historian Maria Elvira Ciusa, author of Maria Lai. Il filo dell’esistere-The thread of existence, at 17.00 on Saturday 14 October. 
Published in Italian and English, the book recounts the career of the late artist Maria Lai who represented Italy at the 57th Venice Biennale.
The event coincides with the exhibition Transfusioni# ul filo del desiderio, curated by Anna D’Elia, and featuring the works of 12 artists: Elena Bellantoni,  Tomaso Binga,  Federica Di Carlo,  Davide Dormino,  Francesco Impellizzeri,  Ketty La Rocca,  Maria Lai,  Luca Maria Patella,  Paola Romoli Venturi,  Silvia Stucky,  Oscar Turco,  Nicole Voltan.
The exhibition is part of this year's second edition of Rome Art Week (9-14 Oct) and the 13th edition of the nationwide Giornata del Contemporaneo on 14 Oct. The show can be visited by appointment from 15-20 Oct, for details contact transfusioni2016@gmail.com, with a finissage on 21 Oct from 18.30-21.30.
