Twelfth Night

Shakespeares Twelfth Night comedy is a tale filled with unrequited love, mistaken identity, deceit and drunkenness. Shipwrecked during a storm Viola and her twin Sebastian both think they have lost tone another. Viola, disguised as a boy, and finds work with Duke Orsino who uses her to attract the lady Olivia which backfires completely once she falls for disguised Viola believing her to be a boy called Cesario. Much mayhem ensues as the tale unfolds. The comedy was the first play ever performed at Regent's Parks delightful Open Air Theatre at its inauguration in 1932. Since then it has become a favourite with audiences. It features on the 2005 calendar alongside Cymbeline, HMS Pinafore and The Wind in the Willows. For the uninitiated, the theatre is an open air venue and the show definitely goes on come rain or shine with cancellations on for the worst conditions. Tickets cost 10-29 Mon-Fri and Sat matinees (13-30 Sat evenings)
