Two Poets Walk Into a Bar
22 Jan. Suddenly at Garbo hosts a reading with writers Rosie Schaap and Moira Egan at Garbo Bar in Trastevere on Sunday 22 January at 21.00.
Rosie Schaap is the author of the memoir, DRINKING WITH MEN, and she writes the monthly DRINK Column for the New York Times. Rosie has been a bartender, a fortuneteller, a librarian at a paranormal society, an English teacher, an editor, a preacher, a community organiser, a manager of homeless shelters, and a ghostwriter for an inspirational magazine.
Moira Egan has also had many jobs, but her list is not nearly as interesting as Rosie's. Moira's most recent collection, SYNÆSTHESIUM, won The New Criterion Poetry Prize and will be published later this year. She writes a lot of sonnets and has been known to frequent a bar or two.
Join these two writers for a splendid evening of prose, poetry, and perhaps a cocktail or two.
