Umbriachiamoci
Our readers what's on: Not For Tourist Rome invites you to participate in this itinerary in Umbria, in the wine and arts roads, and offers you the occasion to visit very fascinating and cultural places in a oenotouristic route of excellence. We'll cross villages and the countryside that are part of two "strade del vino” (winde roads) among the most prestigious of Umbria, the one of the Vini del Cantico, that develops from Torgiano, and the Strada del Sagrantino, that comprehends also the Bevagna territory. This will be an occasion to know the many faces of the wine, an ancient drink with 5000 years of history. We’ll see the Wine museum of the Fondazione Lungarotti, where will be able to know it's fascinating development. In the Umbrian countryside we will visit Bevagna, an old village with Etruscan and Roman origins, imbued with an intact medieval aura, and then Tenuta di Castelbuono, where the Cantine Lunelli waits for us with the first sculpture in the world where one can live and work, a work of the artist Arnaldo Pomodoro.
