With the Orchestra di S. Cecilia. Music by Mozart. The multiple award-winning musician Uto Ughi is considered one of the most important violinists of our time. A child prodigy he played in public when only seven years old. He began his major tours in Europe playing in the most important concert halls, a guest artist at all the principle festivals, and performing with the most prestigious orchestras and conductors. Ughi is not only interested in music, he is also committed to social issues connected to culture. He founded the festival “Homage to Venice” in order to raise funds for the restoration of historical monuments in Venice, and afterwards “Homage to Rome” and “Uto Ughi for Rome” which aimed to promote young talents who study in Italian conservatoires.
